HERS services
Home Energy Rating Systems Compliance Raters or HERS Raters verify the proper installation of energy efficiency measures for your home to comply with California's energy codes (Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards) and support Green Home Rating. Verification and test measures include a home's air tightness (infiltration), insulation quality, and the proper performance of space conditioning and lighting for both new and existing homes.
HERS raters support LEED and GreenPoint achievement.

BPI services
The Building Performance Institute or BPI Building Analyst Professional is certified to assess your home's comfort, healthfulness, safety, durability and energy efficiency. In addition to the evaluations and diagnostics a HERS Rater uses for energy efficiency, a BPI Building Analyst tests your home for the safety of your water heater, furnace or other combustion appliances, and checks for health issues such as mold, unsafe chemical storage and rodent and then makes recommendations for improvements.
The BPI Building Analyst education and protocol supports all three Green Home Ratings.
